Yolanda "Windy" M. Clark, 76, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Golden Living Fountainview Terrace in La Porte, IN.

She was born August 1, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Harry Curtis and Mary (Hartman) Curtis.

Windy, as she was lovingly known to friends and family, moved to the area in 1980 from Walkerton, IN. She served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, stationed at Long Beach Naval Station in California. Windy retired as a caseworker from Parents and Friends (now Paladin), after working at Howmet for 23 years. She was a life member of the Hamon Gray, American Legion Post 83 in La Porte, the VFW Post 1130 Ladies Auxiliary, La Porte, and was a volunteer at the La Porte Small Animal Shelter. Windy enjoyed reading, gardening, camping and traveling. Her greatest joy, though, was spending time with family, friends and her beloved pets, dog, Sadie and cats, Punkin and Autumn.

She is survived by her dear friend & companion of 40 years, Donna Kalsow of La Porte, IN; son, John Lewis II of Tampa, FL; daughter, Tracy L. Lewis of North Liberty, IN; sister, Rebecca Curtis of Port Charlotte, FL; brother Thomas (Janice) Curtis of Walkerton, IN; two grandchildren, Joshua Aaron Lowe and Owen Zane Lewis, both of North Liberty; and special friends, Kris, Michael and Brad Miller.

Yolanda was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Harry H. and William J. Curtis.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. A Celebration of Life will take place on January 29, 2022 with a gathering of friends at 11:00 a.m. and a memorial service at 1 p.m. Pastor Bob Vale will officiate the service and interment will follow at the Walkerton Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton, Indiana. Military honors will be offered at the funeral home.
