Mr. William "Bill" Tincher, Sr., age 94, of Kingsford Heights, Ind., died Thursday, November 20, 2008, at LaPorte Hospital in LaPorte, Ind. He was born on August 15, 1914 in Portsmouth, KY to the late John Tincher and the late Cora Noble Tincher. He has lived in the Kingsford Heights area, since 1951, coming from Kentucky. William was employed by Inland Steel and he retired in 1981. William was a fifty year member of the Breathitt County Masonic Lodge. He loved to hunt and fish. He loved his grandchildren and family very much. On November 29, 1937, he married Josephine Meadows, who survives. He is also survived by his One Daughter, Jean Edwards of La Porte, Ind.; One Son, William Janice Tincher, Jr. of Logansport, Ind.; Four Sisters, Nell Marshall of Valparaiso, Ind., Maida Britton of Kentucky; Peggy Gene Strong of Jackson, Ky., Pauline Gabbert of Vine Grove, Ky.; One Brother, Jim Tincher of Tennessee; Six grandchildren and Eight great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; Son-in-law, Randy Edwards; One sister, Lois Brumitt; Two Brothers, Floyd Tincher and Wilgus Tincher. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday, November 24, 2008 at the Deaton Funeral Home in Jackson, Kentucky.
