William Rose

Mr. William J. Rose, 88, of 3353 E. Division Rd., LaPorte, IN., died Friday April 30, 2004, at 12:45 p.m. at the LaPorte Hospital. He was born August 29, 1915 in LaPorte, IN. to John N. & Anna Mae Miller Rose Sr. and had lived in the LaPorte area all of his life. Mr. Rose was a Farm Owner and has farmed for the last 65 years. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the LaPorte Co. Farm Bureau. On July 13, 1939, in LaPorte, he married Anna Mae Kelly, who preceded in death September 4, 1998. Also preceded in death are his parents; one infant son, Robert Rose; and one brother Mr. John N. Rose, Jr. Surviving are one daughter, Miss Carol M. Rose of Seattle, WA; one son, William L. Kathryn Rose of LaPorte; three grandchildren, Julie A. Reed, Diane M. Nowacki, Kevin C. Rose; four great grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren. A Christian Mass will be Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Ted Nordquist officiating. Friends may call Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at the Haverstock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, IN.
