William Mcguire

Mr. William A. McGuire, age 78, of La Porte, Ind., died Monday, November 5, 2007, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. He was born August 6, 1929, in Chicago, IL, to the late Donald Kessler and the late Gertrude Toereppel Kessler. Mr. McGuire has lived most of his life in the LaPorte Area. On May 24, 1952, in Union Mills, IN, he was married to C. Ann Escher, who survives. Mr. McGuire was a Operating Engineer , He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local # 150 for 45 years. He loved to eat, farming and the outdoors. Graduated from Union Mills High School in 1947. He is also survived by his wife Mrs. C. Ann Escher McGuire, of LaPorte, IN, Two Daughters, Mrs. Karen Jerry VanderVelden of La Porte, Ind, Mrs. Kristee Vince Demoret of La Porte, Ind.Two grandson's, Joshua James VanderVelden, of Nashville, TN, Corp. Benjamin Karl Demoret of Camp Pendleton, CA U.S. Marines, One great-grandchild Kaylee VanderVelden of Nashville, TN. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM Thursday, November 8, 2007, and from 9:00 AM Friday November 9, 2007 until time of service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Friday, November 9, 2007 , with Rev. Dan McDonald officiating. Interment will be at Union Mills Cemetery in Union Mills, Ind.
