Mr. William P. Mackey, age 80, of Fish Lake Walkerton, Ind., died Tuesday, 8:10 AM January 16, 2007, at his residence in Fish Lake. He was born April 17, 1926 in Ballwood, Illinois to the late William Mackey and the late Yvonne Tetra Mackey. He has lived in the Fish Lake area for 23 years, coming from Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Mackey was employed by Preston Trucking for 44 years and retired in 1998. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. He was also a Veteran of US Navy during WWII-Korean Conflict a member of the American Legion Post #400 of Fish Lake. V.F.W. of LaPorte, IN., loved to read. He was a pilot and loved to fly. He enjoyed history. He belonged to Teamster Local #705 of Chicago, Illinois. On July 5, 1986 in Chicago, Illinois he married Mary E. Decker who survives. He is also survived by his Daughter, Mrs. Kimberly Michael Pignato of Mohena, Ill.; Two Sons, Mr. William P. Chris Mackey of Wheaton, Ill., Mr. Patrick S. Diane Mackey of Chicago, Ill.; Eleven grandchildren; Nine great-grandchildren; Two Brothers, Mr. Patrick Dolly Mackey of Alsip, Ill., and Mr. John Mary Ann Mackey of Rolling Prairie, Ind. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., the family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM Thursday January 18, 2007 at the Blake Lamb Funeral Home at 103rd and Cicero, Chicago, Illinois and from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, January 19, 2007 at the Haverstock Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church at 12:00 PM Saturday, January 20, 2007, Rev. Michael Heimer officiating. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Mill Creek, Ind.
