William Harris

Mr. William L. Harris, age 64, of 220 Belden St., La Porte, Ind., died 11:20 P.M. Sunday, December 18, 2005, at his home in La Porte, Ind. He was born Aug. 17, 1941 in La Porte to Helen Heath Harris and the late Cecil Harris, and has lived in the La Porte area all of his life. Mr. Harris was employed by Harris Burial Vault & Kovenz Memorial Shop for many years. Bill looked forward to the fall football season so he could enjoy his favorite team the Chicago Bear's. On June 16, 1961 in LaPorte, Indiana he married Patricia D. Laderoot who preceded him in death on July 25, 2005. He is survived by his Three Daughters, Mrs. Crystal Doug Taylor of La Porte, Ind., Mrs. Jamie Bob Garrett of La Porte, Ind., Mr. Leea Tom Galloway of La Porte, Ind.; One Son, Mr. Scott Lisa Harris of La Porte, Ind.; One Brother, Mr. Bob Harris of La Porte, Ind.; Eight grandchildren, Jordan, Bobby, Zoya, Payton, Jamie, Sunny, Darielle, Ryan; and Three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Harris; Father, Cecil Harris; and One Son, Rick Allen Harris. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM Thursday, December 22, 2005. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 6:00 PM Thursday, December 22, 2005, Rev. Kevin Galloway officiating. Private family graveside services will be held at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind. on Friday December 23, 2005.
