William L. Gourley July 10, 1946-March 15, 2018 William L. Gourley, 71, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Settlers Place in La Porte, Indiana. He was born July 10, 1946 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Arlo L. Gourley and Virginia M.(Pearish) Gourley. William enjoyed classic cars, going to car shows, and going out on cruse night. On January 16, 1969, in La Porte, Indiana, he married Edith (Barnes) Gourley who survives in La Porte, Indiana. He is also survived by his three step daughters, Wilma (William) Giesler of Rolling Prairie, IN, Roberta (Robert) Jensen of Alamogordo, NM, Evelyn Wheeler of Alamogordo, NM; five Grandchildren, Michelle Benner of South Bend, IN, William Giesler, Jr., Kelly Jensen, Robert Jensen, Jr., Jenny Wheeler; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Teresa Stowers of Westville, IN, Connie Mann of Hudson Lake, IN; seven nephews, Lenny Mann, Kris Mann, Ryan Mann, Steve Stowers, Tom Stowers, Randy Stowers, Brian Stowers; niece, Robyn Thomas. William was preceded in death by both his parents and step son-in-law, Christopher Wheeler. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Indiana where the family will receive friends Tuesday, March 20, 2018, 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday March 20, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. with Rev.
