William T. Dove May 16, 1934-August 6, 2009 Mr. William T. Dove , 75, of Michigan City, Indiana, formerly of LaPorte, IN., died Thursday August 6, 2009 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. He was born May 16, 1934 in Jasper Co., Indiana, the son of Winferd Dove and Opal Hill Dove-Skaggs. William worked and retired from Modine Mfg. He was a member of Polish Falcon's Nest #564 of LaPorte, PNA, PRCU, Son of the American Legion Post #83. Bill was a Past Master and member of Excelsior Lodge #41 F&AM of LaPorte, Past Ex. High Priest #15 R.A.M., Past Ill. Master #32 R & SM and Past Commander #12 K.T. of LaPorte, member of KYCH #76 and #8, Yeoman of York, Merrillville, N.W. YRC #73, LaPorte Chapter #280 OES, AMD #413 of LaPorte, a Board of Director for the LaPorte Masonic Temple Association, member of the Orak Shrine, serving as director of the Vans scheduling for the Shrine Hospital for children for the Orak, Oriental Band Member, Past Masters unit, Hillbilly's Unit, Jester's. William was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who enjoyed life to the fullest. On December 31, 1970 , in LaPorte, IN, he married Dean Spear Johnson-Dove, who survives. He is also survived by his two daughters, Linda Mike Kreighbaum of Fish Lake, IN, Carla Robbie Kellogg of Rolling Prairie, IN; six sons. Bruce Jeri Dove of LaPorte, IN, Randy Susan Dove of Michigan City, IN, Paul Dove of Yakima, WA, Richard Lyn Dove of Surprise, AZ, Lin Johnson of Nashville, TN, Robert Sherry Johnson of Lascassas, TN; twenty-three grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren; five sisters, Wilma Long of LaPorte, IN, Winifred Roy Stantz of Albion, IN, Martha Everett Dunfee of LaPorte, IN, Annabell Kessler of LaPorte, IN, Debra Brad Morrie of New Carlisle, IN; two brothers Jim Bonnie Dove of LaPorte, IN, Robert Barbara Dove of LaPorte, IN. William was preceded in death by his parents, son, William Dove, Jr., two sisters, Nellie Barger, Geneva Kessler and two brothers, Larry Dove, Jerry Dove. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Sunday, August 09, 2009 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Monday, August 10, 2009 from 9:00 am, until time of the service. A Masonic Service will be conducted on Sunday, August 9, 2009 at 6:00 pm. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Monday August 10, 2009 at 11:00 AM with John Haferkamp, officiating. Cremation will take place. Memorial contributions may be made to the Orak Shrine Transportation Unit, Shriner's Hospital or Donor's Choice.
