Willard Lawson

Mr. Willard Lawson, 60, of 9755 S. Cr 125 E., Union Mills, Indiana, passed away Tuesday at his residence. He had lived in the LaPorte area most of his life coming from Hazard, Kentucky. Born April 30, 1944 in Hazard, Kentucky, to Bea and Martha Francis Lawson, who preceded. He was a self-employed carpenter, played pool for the American Legion of Kingsford Heights and enjoyed golfing and fishing. Surviving are one daughter; Elisa Lawson of Michigan City, Indiana, one son; Will Lawson of Union Mills, Indiana, one special friend; Karen Lawson of Knox, Indiana, four brothers; Dillard Treva Lawson of Mill Creek, Indiana, Buford Mary Lawson of Washington, Delmos Lawson of Massachusetts, Arthur Janet Lawson of Arizona, one sister; Dallie Dean Goens of Seymour, Indiana, two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Also preceding with his parents are one brother Luther Lawson and two sister Callie & Gertrude. A funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday July 10, 2004 at Haverstock Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Cox officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial of ashes will be at a later date.
