Wilbur Hitson

Mr. Wilbur E. Hitson, age 86, of 931 W. Glen Park Ave., Griffith, Ind., died Sunday, February 19, 2006, at Community Hospital in Munster, Ind. He was born January 14, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Elmer Hitson and the late Julia Nichols Hitson. He has lived in the Griffith area for three months moving there from Knox, Indiana. Mr. Hitson was employed by LTV Steel. He was Veteran of U.S. Army Air Corp. during WW II, and a member of the VFW Post 748 in Knox, Indiana, On October 22, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois he married Jean R. Baumhardt who survives. He is also survived by One Daughter, Mrs. Karen Judge. He is preceded in death by his parents, Two sisters Dorothy Ormiston, Violet; Three Brothers, Harold Hitson, Kenneth Hitson, and Richard Hitson. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. Interment will be at Cedar Park Cemetery in Chicago, Ill.
