Wayne L. Strang LaPorte September 24, 1934 - December 6, 2015 Wayne L. Strang age 81, peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2015. He is survived by his brother-in-law Joseph (Betty) Coar; nieces and nephews, Joseph (Stacy) Coar, Jennifer (Brian) Bunkers and Joy (Michael) Cohen; great nieces, Ashleigh, Mary, Lucy and Caitlin; special friends, Ann (Mike) Fugate and Gail (Dave) Lamb. Preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Marion Strang; wife, Marlene (Coar) Strang,; 1 sister and 1 brother. Wayne loved animals, Buicks, music of the Big Band era and was a true 'orange and blue' Chicago Bears fan. He and his wife, Marlene traveled to Mackinac Island every year for over 25 years often taking friends and family with them. Wayne's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mr. Bob Wellinski and his family for their love and devotion in caring for Wayne. Wayne was a loving son and husband and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Haverstock Funeral Home 602 Maple Avenue LaPorte, IN with Pastor Ronald Brauer officiating. Burial to be held privately by the family at St. John Lutheran Cemetery, LaPorte, IN Memorials may be made to VNA Hospice of LaPorte P.O.
