Walcie Wright

Mrs. Walcie R. Wright, age 88, of Michigan City, Ind., died 1:30 AM Thursday, February 14, 2008, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. She was born March 30, 1919 in La Follette, Tenn. to the late Rose Shoffner and the late Hiley Hill Shoffner. Mrs. Wright was a homemaker and was a member of Cumberland View Baptist Church. She loved to work in her garden, cook and sew. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was married in La Follette, Tenn. for 20 years to John Kaiser. He preceded in death in 1961. She remarried Doffes Wright who has also preceded in death. She is survived by her Two Daughters, Mrs. Betty Sharp of Michigan City, Ind., Mrs. Geraldine Benge of Michigan City, Ind.; Three Step-daughter-Sue Dyer of La Porte, Ind., Margie Mullins of La Porte, Ind., Ruth Lane of Tennessee; Six grandchildren, Scott Benge, Pamela Albers, Sherry Martinez, Angie Nelson, Keith Sharp, Kyle Sharp; Ten great-grandchildren; Two great-great grandchildren; Three Sisters, Mrs. Della Parrish of Hamlet, Ind., Mrs. Helen Hatchel of La Porte, Ind., Mrs. Viola Frederick of La Follette, Tenn.; and One Brother, Mr. Richard Shoffner of Hamlet, Ind. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Two Husbands, Three Brothers, Bennie Shoffner, Barry Shoffner, Timothy Shoffner; and One sister, Cleo Taulble. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, February 17, 2008. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 1:00 PM Monday, February 18, 2008, Rev. Curtis Southwood officiating. Interment will be at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
