Vollie Vick

Mrs. Vollie Mae Vick, age 102, of La Porte, Ind., died 2:45 AM Friday, January 4, 2008, at her residence in La Porte, Ind. She was born October 16, 1905 in Princeton, Kentucky to the late William Croft and the late Susan Hensley Croft and she has lived most of her life in the LaPorte area. Mrs. Vick was a homemaker. She loved crocheting, working in the yard, and being out-doors. She was a very loving person and everyone loved her. She was a devoted wife and mother, and she contributes her long-life to living for God. On May 15, 1921 in Springfield, Tennessee she married William Robert Vick who preceded in death in 1976. She is survived by her Two Daughters, Mrs. Katherine Stelzried of La Porte, Ind., Mrs. Anna Ruth Gill of Clarksville, Tenn.; Two Sons, Mr. Norman Ray Vick of Elkton, Ky., Mr. Troyce Almon Vick of La Porte, Ind.; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and One Sister, Mrs. Faye Edmunds of Michigan. She is preceded in death by her parents; Three Sons, Robert Vick Jr., Paul D. Vick, Ralph Neil Vick and One Daughter, Ruth Nell Vick. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, January 6, 2008 and from 12:00PM until time of the service Monday. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 1:00 PM Monday, January 7, 2008, Rev. Randy Cook officiating. Interment will be at Patton Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
