Virginia Wood

Mrs. Virginia J. Wood, age 81, of Davison, Mich., formerly of LaPorte, died Wednesday, February 8, 2006, at 7:36 AM at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc Twp., Mich. She was born March 21, 1924 in Hebron, Indiana to the late David Miller and the late Jenny Wood Miller, and has live in the Davison, Michigan area since 1991. Mrs. Wood was employed as a postal clerk by U.S. Postal Service and retired in 1990. On Oct. 12, 1945 she married Donald Wood Sr. who preceded in death on Jan. 10, 1977. She is survived by One Son, Dr. Donald M. Susan Wood, Jr. of Metamora, Mich.; One Grandson Mr. Jeffery Wood of Lake Orion, Mich.; One Granddaughter, Mrs. Andrea Browning and One great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and one son David Miller. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Sunday, February 12, 2006. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 1:00 PM Sunday, February 12, 2006, Rev. Douglas Hadley officiating. Interment will be at Pine Lake Cemetery in La Porte, Ind.
