Mrs. Violet F. Wolff of Walkerton went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 28, 2008. She had been a resident of the Golden Living Center Fountainview Terrace in LaPorte, Indiana. Violet was born on May 10, 1917 to Nellie and William Campbell. On February 14, 1937, in Kingsbury, Indiana, she married Walker A. Wolff of Mill Creek, Indiana Violet was an active member of the Mill Creek Baptist Church, Michigan Blueberry Growers Association, American Legion Auxiliary Fish Lake, Lincoln Township Home Economics Club, and the former Mill Creek Lionettes. She was past president of the former Mill Creek High School PTA and the Easter Seals of LaPorte County. She and her husband owned and operated Wolff's Blueberries for many years. Music was a very important part of her life and she loved sharing it with others. She enjoyed entertaining by playing the violin and harmonica. Surviving to cherish her memory is her daughter Marilyn Dewey Rehlander of Mill Creek; her son Gerald Betty of Walkerton; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include three brothers; Harold Campbell of LaPorte; Bert Campbell of Tennessee; Paul Campbell of Texas; two sisters; Francis Pudlo of LaPorte; Margaret Klassen of Florida; and many nieces and nephew. Preceding her in death was her husband; one son and daughter-in-law Walker L. Butch and Diane; two brothers, William and Floyd Campbell; one sister Ellen Cochran; two great-grandchildren twins Meghan and Adam Steigley. Visitation with the family is scheduled for Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. at the Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, Indiana. Long time friend and pastor, Rev. Ronald Devenport will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mill Creek Baptist Church Music Fund or the Shrines Children's Hospital in Chicago.
