Violet "Elouise" E. Davidson October 30, 1933-March 18, 2015 Mrs. Violet "Elouise" E. Davidson, 81, of La Porte, Indiana, died Wednesday March 18, 2015 at Miller's Health and Rehab in LaPorte. She was born October 30, 1933 in Kingsbury, Indiana, the daughter of Grover Harold Collings and Violet (Anderson) Collings-Cattron. Violet worked 19 years for Roll Coater, retiring in 1999, she also had worked at Uniroyal in South Bend, and American Home Foods for 9 plus years. Violet enjoyed gardening and swimming in her pool. She is survived by her two sons, David P. Davidson of Crete, IL, and Dan Davidson of La Porte, IN; three grandchildren, Mathew Davidson, Michael Davidson, Christopher Brockshire; three brothers, Jack Collings of Kingsbury, IN, Ira Lee (Owen Lafferty) Collings of New York City, NY, and Gene Collings of Ohio. Violet was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Dawn Arlene Davidson, one sister, June Deditch, three brothers, Burl Collings, Harold Collings, and Norvan Collings. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Monday, March 23, 2015, from 8:30 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Monday March 23, 2015 at 10:30 am with Pastor JoEllyn Chadwick officiating.
