Vida Stegall

Mrs. Vida Marie Stegall, age 90, of La Porte, Ind., died 2:45 AM Saturday, November 4, 2006, at Fountainview Terrace in La Porte, Ind. She was born June 23, 1916 in Coalfield, Tenn. to the late John Keeton and the late Rebecca Martin Keeton. She has lived in the LaPorte area for 54 years coming from Harriman, Tenn. Mrs. Stegall was employed by American Home Foods for 30 years and retired in 1978. She was a member of Assembly of God Church, Sam's Group-Assembly of God Church, she was a Sunday school teacher for 30 years, and she was a Volunteer at Countryside Place & Fountainview Terrace. On July 26, 1935 in Harriman, Tenn. she married Clarence R. Stegall who preceded her in death December 2, 1987. She is survived by her Daughter, Mrs. Vivian Bill Lehman of Westville, Ind.; Son, Rev. Jerry Deanna Stegall of LaPorte, Ind.; Three grandchildren Kelley Lehman, Kevin Lehman, Jeffery Stegall; Two great-grandchildren; Sisters, Mrs. Peggy Smithers of Huntsville, Tenn. Two Sisters-in-law, Mrs. Evelyn Leffew of LaPorte, Ind. and Mrs. Pauline Clowers of Fish Lake, Ind. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, November 7, 2006 and 9:00 AM until time of the Service on Wednesday. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 10:30 AM Wednesday, November 8, 2006, Rev. Jeffrey A. Hines officiating. Interment will be at Salem Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
