Vida Larson October 23, 1926-August 17, 2017 Vida Larson, 90, of Hanna, Indiana, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017 at her home in Hanna, Indiana. She was born October 23, 1926 in Ashland, Kentucky, the daughter of Jot Nelson and Mattie (Howard) Nelson. Vida retired from Austenal as a clerk after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Rolling Prairie First Christian Church, Quick Lanes Bowling League for Austenal, and Parents without Partners. She enjoyed dancing, crocheting, and loved to travel. She also enjoyed making blankets for her grandchildren. She married Ernest Eberhart who preceded in death August 28, 1985. On October 18, 1988, in Reno, NV, she married Charles Larson who preceded in death October 1, 1995. She is survived by her two daughters, Sandra (Rex Younce) Asher of Hanna, IN, Carolyn (Donald) Ashmore of La Porte, IN; seven step-children; seven - grandchildren; nine -great-grandchildren; 1-great-great-granddaughter; brother, Howard (Catherine) Nelson; three sisters, Doris Thorne, Lee Etta Guinn, and Beverly June Wireman. She was preceded in death by her son, Randy Eberhart, three brothers, Truman Nelson, Deavern Nelson, Little Jean Nelson; six sisters, Letha Newsome, Edna Stanton, Dovie Antal, Kitty Altman, Patty Ann Loftus, Lucy Jansson. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. There will be no visitation or service. Interment will take place in Patton Cemetery, La Porte, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 130 Redcoach, Mishawaka, Indiana 46545.
