Veneitta Peo

Mrs. Veneitta Mae Crist Peo, age 92, of Oscoda, Mich. Formerly of LaPorte, Michigan City, and Springville, area died Monday, August 18, 2008, at St. Mary's of Michigan Hospital in Saginaw, Mich. She was born on July 24, 1916 in Todd County, Minn. to the late Earl Crist and the late Elsie Key Crist, she was a resident of Browerville, Minn. from 1916 to 1941, and moved to the Michigan City, area. On October 7, 1941 in Browerville, Minnesota, she married Robert L. Peo, who survives. Mrs. Peo was employed by Michigan City School Corp. as a School Cafeteria Manager at Elston and Krueger Schools for 12 years and was a member of the Free Methodist Church. She was also a member of V.F.W. Auxilliary. She is survived by her husband Mr. Robert Peo of Oscoda, Mich.; Two Daughters, Mrs. Roberta Mae Ron Jacobson of Woodland Park, Colo., Mrs. Sheila Marie John Conger of Venice, Fla.; Six Grandchildren, Todd Barb Tjepkema, Angie Wisdom, Marnee Kevin Michael, Eric Krueger, Amanda Brendon Aspenson, D.J. Molly Conger; Twelve Great-grandchildren and One Great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, One Sister, Laverna Nelson; Four Brothers, Raymond, Noah, Erwin, Rev. Lorenzo Crist. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 21, 2008 and on Friday, August 22, 2008 from 9:00 AM, until time of service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 22, 2008, with Grandson, Rev. Todd Tjepkema and Nephew, Rev. Wesley Crist, officiating.
