Tracy Valantiejus

Tracy L. Valantiejus November 17, 1963-January 6, 2016 Tracy L. Valantiejus, 52, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Wednesday January 6, 2016 at her home in La Porte, IN. She was born November 17, 1963 in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of Harley Griffin and Ina (Toney) Griffin. Tracy was a member of the Light House Assembly of God Church in Kingsford Heights, IN. She enjoyed gospel music, and country music. Tracy loved her dogs, Gizmo and Trouble. She would help anyone that needed her help. Tracy loved her grandaughter, Adara and her family very much. Tracy had lots of friends. On March 14, 2007, in Michigan City, IN, she married Robert Valantiejus who survives. She is also survived by her three sons, Billy Kyle Smith, James Smith, and Brandon Smith, all of La Porte, IN; one grandchild, Adara Smith; four brothers, Rick Cox of Danville, IL, Jimmy Griffin of San Bernardino, CA, Timmy Griffin of San Bernardino, CA.,and Kenneth Ray Griffin of IL; one sister, Cathy Davis of KY; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Tracy was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, David Griffin, and one sister, Diane Bryan. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. Cremation will take place. A private family service will be held at a later date.
