Tony Collins

Mr. Tony R. Collins, 43, of 3428 Sawyer Road, Sawyer, Michigan, formerly of Portage Michigan, died Monday September 13, 2004 at 8:28 p.m. at the LaPorte Hospital. He was born January 3, 1961, in Morristown, Tennessee, to Rolan and Myrtle Davis Collins. Mr. Collins was a sanitation superintendent at Schafer Baking. He enjoyed NASCAR, movies music. He had an extensive music collection and enjoyed playing pranks. On Oct. 15, 1992, in LaPorte, he married Jennifer Blankenship who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Dustin Collins of LaPorte, Tyler Collins of Portage, Cody Woody of Mishawaka, Jamie Hough of LaPorte; two daughters, Ashley Collins of Rolling Prairie, and Brittany Woody of Portage; two brothers Rolan Tammie Collins of Walkerton, and Phil Kelly Collins of LaPorte. Preceded in death are his parents and one bother, Jeff Collins. A memorial service will be Thursday at 2:00 pm at Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte with Mr. John Waterson and Mr. Frank Levindowski officiating. There will be no visitation.
