Tim Neff

The one and only Tim Neff of La Porte, Indiana passed away on Friday, September 14th surrounded by his loving family. Tim left behind his forever cherished daughters, Gretchen (Jeff) Skurla of Granger, Indiana, Alaina (Nathan) Smith of Three Oaks, Michigan and Pam, who he showed the world to and saved from many near death experiences. Although time together was cut short, his grandchildren, Lauren, Wyatt, Xander and Braxton will always remember their crazy pool days filled with ice cream and chili cheese Fritos, their special soup meals, finicky fashion and always their favorite candy in the dish. He is survived by his father, Gene, his siblings Jim (Kathy), Ted (Cheryl), and Gena (Kim) all of whom greatly admired and looked up to him (at least in his eyes). He had a multitude of nieces and nephews, all of which enjoyed his attempts at corrupting them in the most positive of ways. He is lucky enough to be joining his daughter Jenna, Mom, Gloria and nephew, Brock in the hereafter. Tim values, above all else, his family who will miss his warped sense of humor, his sometimes valued opinions, frightening Christmas outfits, coffee in the mornings and spontaneous trips. Our Rock and our Jester will forever be missed. His legacy, love of family, will live on forever through them. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte and again Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will follow Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bill Barnes officiating.
