Thomas F. Condon December 6, 1921-July 14, 2017 Mr. Thomas F. Condon , 95, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Friday July 14, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born December 6, 1921 in Stillwell, Indiana, the son of David Condon and Pearl (Mason) Condon. Tom was the owner/operator of Condon and Christ Service for over 30 years. He retired in 1984. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. during W.W. II. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, The Methodist Church Over the Hill Gang, V.F.W. Post 83 of La Porte and the Moose of La Porte. He had been very active in the over 40's dance club and the S and E. Dance Club. On November 10, 1946, in La Porte, IN, he married Mary (Hill) Condon who preceded in death May 29, 2010. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Jerry Piotrowicz; four grandchildren, Brian Piotrowicz (Matt Johnson), Joanne Sprague (John), Michael Wolfe (Emily), Scott Wolfe (Debra); four great grandchildren; loving companion, Lorna Cooksey. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Kathleen Wolfe, three brothers, Noel Condon, William Condon, Tommy Condon, two sisters, Vivian Beerwert, and Winifred Condon. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. The family will receive friends at the First United Methodist Church from 9:30 am until time of the service. A life celebration will be held at First United Methodist Church Chapel, Friday July 21, 2017 at 10:30 am with Pastor Robert Vale officiating. Interment will follow at the Patton Cemetery, La Porte, IN where a military service will be conducted by the American Legion - VFW Honor Guard.
