Thelma May Fritzen May 19, 1926 - March 2, 2016 Thelma May Fritzen age 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 2, 2016. She is survived by her children, Ann (Roy) Gropp of LaPorte, IN, Lynn (Denny) Emmert of Syracuse, IN, Eric Fritzen of LaPorte, IN and Amy Bruce of Phoenix, AZ; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; siblings, Wilma Koeppen, Harold (Elsie) Lotter; sister in law, Phyllis Lotter; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Una Lotter; husband, James Fritzen; siblings, Lee Lotter, Coy Lotter and Norma Tarnow. Thelma was born on May 19, 1926 in Campbellsville, KY. She graduated from Rolling Prairie High School in 1944. She and her female classmates formed 'The 44 Club' and met monthly for over 50 years. NO BOYS ALLOWED! She was a member of the Rolling Prairie Eastern Star and the Rolling Prairie United Methodist Church. Thelma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a gentle soul who will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Haverstock Funeral Home 602 Maple Avenue LaPorte, IN with Pastor Debbie Beason officiating. Interment to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Mill Creek, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 3:00-7:00 PM and on Saturday morning at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until time of service.
