Terry Swan

Mr. Terry J. Swan, age 61, of 217 Beldon St., La Porte, Ind., died Tuesday, February 7, 2006, at his residence in La Porte, Ind. He was born June 9, 1944 in Aurora, IL. to John Swan and Elsie Dean Swan. He lived in the LaPorte area as a child. He moved to Chesterton, IN. and has been back in the LaPorte area for 10 years. Mr. Swan was employed as a clerk by Conrail Railroad for 31 years and retired in 2000. He was a Veteran of US Army during Berlin Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion Post #83 of LaPorte and American Legion Post of Hammond, Indiana. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He is survived by Two Daughters, Kelly Daisy of La Porte, Ind., Brittney Swan of La Porte, Ind.; Two Sons, Mr. Mark Dona Swan of La Porte, Ind., Mr. Charles Swan of West Palm Beach, Fla.; Five grandchildren; Three great-grandchildren; His mother Mrs. Elsie Mae Swa of LaPorte, IN.; Two Brothers, Mr. Larry Denise Swan of La Porte, Ind., and Mr. Jerry Valerie Swan of Chicago, Ill. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday, February 10, 2006. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 1:00 PM Friday, February 10, 2006, Rev. Kevin Galloway officiating. Interment will be at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind. A Military Graveside Service will be conducted by the American Legion Post #83 and V.F.W. Post #1130 of LaPorte, IN.
