Sylvester Salisbury

Mr. Sylvester L. Salisbury, 81, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away Tuesday November 23, 2010 at Woodland Manor in Elkhart, IN. He was born May 3, 1929 in, Michigan, the son of Lyle Smith and Ethel Smith. Sylvester worked in landscaping and did custodial work. On November 15, 1949, in LaPorte, IN, he married Louella May Tarnow Salisbury who preceded him in death on January 8, 1998. He is survived by his one son; two daughters; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild, and one sister. Sylvester was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one brother. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Friday, November 26, 2010 from 10:00 am C.S.T., until time of service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday November 26, 2010 at 11:00 AM C.S.T. with Pastor Jo Ellyn Chadwick officiating.
