Susan Melinda Belue

Susan Melinda Belue, 69, of Walkerton, Indiana, passed away Wednesday December 27, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born June 27, 1954 in La Porte, IN, the daughter of Gary and Melinda (Stringer) Gaddy.

A lifelong resident of the area, Susan was a graduate of La Porte High School and worked for Aero Metals until her retirement in 2018. She was a member of The United Church of God for over 40 years. On February 21, 2007, in Knox, IN, Susan married Adam J. Belue. She had many interests, including tent camping, fishing and cooking out with her family.  Susan was a gemologist who especially loved to value diamonds. She had 3 Springer Spaniels, Browning, Mel and Lizzy and spent the past 20 years breeding and raising puppies, which were delivered all across the U.S. Most importantly, Susan was an excellent wife and mom who was devoted to her children and grandchildren.

She is also survived by her husband of 16 years, Adam; her step-mother, Marie Gaddy of Kingsford Heights; her daughter, Dana Moss of Mill Creek, IN; brother, Terry (Jackie) Gaddy of Mill Creek, IN, sister, Kelly (Steve) Schemenauer of Elkhart, IN; grandchildren, Bryce Trumble, Denai Livergood, Nolan Livergood, Chase Moss, Alyssa Leighann; many nieces and nephews and great friends.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Randy Gaddy and her beloved son, Thadeus Moss.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends for a visitation on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 4:00-5:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 5:00 p.m.  Pastor Devin Schulz, United Church of God, will officiate.  Interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made in Susan's name to the La Porte Small Animal Shelter, 2855 W. SR 2, La Porte, IN 46350 as well as the American Legion Post 434 500 Grayton Road Kingsford Heights, IN 46346.
