Stella Holbrook

Mrs. Stella Holbrook, age 58, of 0011 S. CR 400 E., La Porte, Ind., died Friday, August 12, 2005, at 10:13 P.M. at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. She lived in the LaPorte area for 40 years coming here from Wayland, KY. She was born Feb. 19, 1947 in Wayland, KY to the late Ollie Owsley and the late Mary Skeans Owsley. Mrs. Holbrook was employed by American Rubber for 22 years. She enjoyed gardening, family activities with her grandchildren, working puzzles and reading. In Jan. of 1963 in Wise, West Virginia she married Ezra Holbrook who survives. She is also survived by three Daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Blankenship of La Porte, Ind., Mrs. Melissa Bob Scott of Rolling Prairie, Ind. Mrs. Pamela Noel of Mancelona, Mich.; ten grandchildren; three great grandchldren; one sister, Mrs. Gallie Taylor of Wabash, Ind. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Douglas R. Holbrook; four brothers; one sister; and one cousin, Mr. Jimmy Owsley Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 16, 2005. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 16, 2005 , Rev. David Tripp officiating. Interment will be at Rolling Prairie Cemetery in Rolling Prairie, Ind.
