Shirley Martin

Mrs. Shirley F. Martin, age 65, of La Porte, Ind., died Saturday, May 20, 2006, at 5:45 AM, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. She was born August 19, 1940 in Cullman, AL to the late Arthur Morgan and the late Oral Bell Rogers Morgan. She has live in the LaPorte area for 51 years coming from Kentucky. Mrs. Martin was a homemaker and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She was also a member of American Legion Aux. of LaPorte, and she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. On Oct. 19, 1982 in LaPorte she married Eugene Martin who preceded in death June 19, 2000. She is survived by One Daughter, Mrs. Sheri Jack Carter of Union Mills, Ind.; One Son, Mr. Eugene Wilhelm of La Porte, Ind.; Twelve grandchildren, Matthew Wilhelm, Ronnie Jones, Rickie Jones, Charles Wilhelm, Ryan Wilhelm, Natalee Pegg, Kathryn Miller, Danielle Brown, Chastity Jones, Ashley Jones, Danny Wilhelm, Seth Wilhelm; Four great-grandchildren; Seven Sister; Brother-Six She is preceded in death by per parents, Two Sons, Danny Wilhelm Sr., Billy Ray Wilhelm, and Two Brothers. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 600 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 23, 2006 and from 9:00 AM Wednesday until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 24, 2006, Pastor John M. Vincent officiating. Interment will be at Pine Lake Cemetery in La Porte, Ind.
