Shirley Bartos

Mrs. Shirley V. Bartos, 85, of La Porte, Indiana, died Monday May 17, 2010 at her home. She was born December 26, 1924 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Firth Bailey and Edna Burlingham Bailey. Shirley worked for many years at Indiana Molding and Frame and retired from American Rubber in 1987. She devoted her entire life caring for her family and those around her. She will be deeply missed by everyone that was fortunate enough to have known her. She is survived by her son, Robert Sally Rowe Bartos of La Porte, IN; 2 daughters, Sue Cravens of La Porte, IN, Terri Bartos of La Porte, IN; a caregiver and special friend - John Mills of La Porte, IN; 4 grandchildren, Rueben Cravens, Michelle Cravens, Elizabeth Wilson and Jeffrey Zeisig. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents 2 brothers, Myron Bailey, Joe Bailey; 2 sisters, Marciel Hansen, and Betty Joschko. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Friday, May 21, 2010 10:00 am until time of the service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday May 21, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ronald Devenport officiating. Interment will follow at the Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
