Mrs. Sheryl J. Morrison, 40 of 3215 E. 900 N. Hamlet, Indiana died Thursday February 10, 2005 at 7:03 AM, at V.N.A. Hospice Center in Valparaiso, Indiana. Mrs. Morrison was born December 9, 1964 in Chula Vista, CA to George and Karen Snyder Girard, her mother survives, her father is preceded. Mrs. Morrison has lived in the LaPorte, area since 1973, coming from several locations; due to military service of her father. On August 12, 1989 in LaPorte, Indiana she was married to Harry ?Buddy? Morrison, who survives. Mrs. Morrison worked for Professional Resources as a R.N. Program Director. Also she served many long term facilities in LaPorte and Michigan City, Indiana. Mrs. Morrison attended IUSB and Purdue Universities. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary unit #434 of Kingsford Heights, a caretaker of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Tracy, Indiana for 5 years, past board member of Kingsford Heights Community Center Board. She enjoyed sculpture, painting, sketching, sewing, needle working and reading. She won in 2003 Grand Champion Award in the LaPorte Co. Fair; she has won numerous ribbons and awards in art from LaPorte Co. Fair. Surviving is her Husband, Mr. Harry ?Buddy? Morrison of Hamlet, IN, her mother, Mrs. Karen Girard of Kingsford Heights, IN, two sons, Mr. Gary Morton of Hamlet, IN, Mr. Jeremy Morrison of Hamlet, IN, two daughters, Carrie Morrison of LaPorte, IN, Michelle Morrison of Kingsford Heights, IN, a brother, Mr. Dale Elaine Girard of Union Mills, IN, three sisters, Mrs. Pam Brian Young of Kingsford Heights, IN Mrs. Maria Mark Galka of Hobart, IN, Mrs. Barbara Doug Justice of Union Mills, IN, Mrs. Morrison has several nieces and nephews, and a granddaughter, Brianna Lawson. The Funeral will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday February 14, 2005 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Timothy W. Gravelyn officiating. Friends may call on Sunday February 13, 2005 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Monday February 14, 2005 from 9:00 AM until time of service. Burial will take place in the Tracy Cemetery, Hamlet, IN. An American Legion Auxiliary Unit #434 of Kingsford Heights Service will be conducted on Sunday February 13, 2005 at 7:00 PM at Haverstock Funeral Home.
