Sharon Stacy, 54, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday December 20, 2024 at in North Liberty, IN.
She was born August 24, 1970 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Thomas Stacy and Booluing (McCardell).
A life-long resident of the area. Sharon continued her education after high school with an associate’s degree. After college she was a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who devoted many years to caring for others, leaving a lasting impact on the lives she touched through her profession. Her commitment to her work was evident, as she approached her responsibilities with kindness and empathy, always striving to improve the well-being of her patients. Outside of her professional life, Sharon attended the Springville Community Church. Recently baptized in August 2024, she embraced her faith and actively participated in church activities. Known for her baking talents, she delighted fellow churchgoers with her exceptional cupcakes, which became a beloved treat among all. Sharon's passion for Christmas truly shone, as she reveled in the festive season and the joy it brought to those around her. In addition to her service to her community, Sharon had a special bond with her beloved dogs, Gunner and Oscar, who brought immense joy to her life. She shared her days with these loyal companions, who were more than just pets; they were part of her family. Sharon's friendships were equally important to her, and she maintained a close relationship with her friend Rhonda Allan, speaking to her daily on the phone. This connection exemplified the importance she placed on friendship.
She is survived by her parents; two sons, Eric Briggs of Michigan City, IN, Mitchell Briggs of Valparaiso; daughter, Sirena Weiss of La Porte; brother, Steve Stacy of North Liberty; special best friend, Ernie; five grandchildren, Thomas, Logan, Tatum, Delila, Piper; and best friend, Rhonda Allan;
Sharon was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents.
Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. the family will receive friends for a visitation at Springville Community Church 5244 IN-39 La Porte, IN 46350 on Friday, December 27, 2024 from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kurt Finley officiating. Cremation has taken place.
