Sharon K. Kroening May 20, 1953-January 19, 2018 Sharon K. Kroening, 64, of La Porte, Indiana , passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 in LaPorte, Indiana. She was born May 20, 1953 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Eric Boklund Sr.and Ruth (Schroeder) Boklund. Sharon was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in La Porte and enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her three sisters, Jacqueline Hitzeman of Fort Wayne, IN, Christine Nelson of La Porte, IN, Teresa Dunlap of La Porte, IN; two brothers, Eric "Rick" Boklund, Jr. of Mill Creek, IN, Mark (Kim) Boklund of Michigan City, IN; several nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by both her parents; brother, Bruce Boklund; brother-in-law, John Hitzeman. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Indiana. Private family services will be held at a later date.
