Sendie Holt

Mrs. Sendie Alice Holt, age 93, of New Carlisle, Ind., died Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at Hamilton Communities in New Carlisle, Ind. She was born on March 11, 1915 in Red Rock, Arkansas to the late John K. Shattswell and the late Matilda M. Gladden Shattswell. Mrs. Holt had lived in Red Rock, AR. for thirty-eight years, and then living in the LaPorte, IN. area for fifty-four years. Mrs. Holt was a homemaker and was a member of Assembly of God Church. On November 27, 1932 in Red Rock, AR, she married Arley David Holt, who preceded, December 19, 2003. She is survived by her; Three Daughters, Nadine Dunk of LaPorte, IN., Pam Jerry Salo of Hemet, Calif., Linda Ken Lee of Yorba Linda, Calif.; Two Sons, Deowen Jerry Holt of La Porte, Ind., Doyal Holt of LaPorte, Ind.; Eighteen grandchildren; Thirty great-grandchildren; Nine great-great grandchildren; Two Sisters, Famie Robertson of Kansas City, Mo., and Cynthia Baker of Harrison, Ark. She is preceded in death by her parents; Husband, Arley D. Holt; Two Sons, Lewell Holt; Floyd Holt; Two Grandsons, Jerry Salo, Jr., Jonathan Dunk; One Great-grandson, Kenny Albertson; Two Sisters, Retha Ritch and Rintha Dotson; Four Brothers, Sherman Shattswell, Wilburn Shattswell, Truman Shattswell and Clayton Shattswell. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, December 14, 2008 and from 10:00 AM, until time of service on Monday, December 15, 2008. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Monday, December 15, 2008, with Rev. Jeffrey A. Hines officiating. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
