Sandra Wilson

Mrs. Sandra E. "Sandi" Wilson, 45, of Forest Park, Ga., and formerly of LaPorte, died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006, at Southern Regional Hospital, Forest Park. She was born Jan. 24, 1961, in LaPorte to Paul Jr. and Wilma Elizabeth Tidey Rootes, and had lived in the Georgia area for 25 years. She was an angel in everyone's lives and will truly be missed. In 1993, in Marietta, Ga., she married Robert James Wilson, who survives. Also surviving are her mother, Wilma Elizabeth Christiansen of LaPorte; her father, of Oregon; one daughter, Jennifer Elizabeth of Forest Park; two sons, Robert Jason and Matthew Paul, both of Forest Park; one granddaughter, Jamie Danielle Poteet; three sisters, Jacquelyn Sue Scott, Penny Jo Rootes-Wilson and Judy Lynn Rootes, all of LaPorte; two brothers, John Duane and Paul Dean Rootes, both of LaPorte; and her grandmother, Alta Tidey of LaPorte. One brother, Michael Rootes, preceded her in death. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, with Rev. Ransom Ebersole officiating. Friends may call at Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the service. Burial will be in Kingsbury Cemetery.
