Sandra Scalf

Mrs. Sandra K. Scalf, 61, of 719 Rose St., LaPorte, IN., died Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at 7:33 a.m., at the home of her sister. She was born June 17, 1942 in LaPorte, IN. to Richard and Frances Galko Arndt, and has been a life long resident of the LaPorte area. Mrs. Scalf had worked in the Deli and Meat Departments at Al?s Supermarket for the last 26 years. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and attended the LaPorte High School. Surviving are one son, Quince Scalf of Terre Haute, IN.; one daughter, Terry Scalf of LaPorte, IN.; four grandchildren, Samuel, Joseph, Alexandria, and Londyn; one brother, Richard Sandie Arndt Jr. of LaPorte, IN.; and three sisters, Irma Cizewski of LaPorte, IN., Pat Chambers of LaPorte, IN., and Debbie Tharp of Mishawaka, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents. A celebration of Christian Mass will be Friday, April 23, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, LaPorte, IN., with Rev. Ted Nordquist officiating. Friends may call Thursday at the Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., and Friday from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Pine Lake Cemetery.
