Sandra Heck, 82, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Monday, July 8, 2024 at Northwest Health in La Porte.
Sandra Heck was born in Michigan City, Indiana July 16th 1941 to Clarence and Audrey Sydow (Schnick) and two sisters, Jeannie and Barbara, followed. On October 9, 1963 Sandra married Frank L Weaver. They were blessed with four children Dawn, Jeff, Gregg and Constance. On July 21, 1978 Sandra married Floyd Heck and they were blessed with yet another child, Bradley Heck. Sandra is survived by her children, Dawn (Weaver)Euler, Gregg Weaver, Constance (Weaver) Smith, of Indiana and Bradley (Susan) Heck of Hamlet, Indiana; two sisters Jeannie Dugan of Stilesville, Indiana, and Barbara Rosenbaum of Fish lake, Indiana; nine grandchildren Brandon (Rachel) Euler, Dakota Euler, Earl Beem, Jr., Haley Marshall, Clay Heck, Heather Mitchell, Terry (Angie) Patrick; Kayla (Kenny) Woodruff, Caitlyn Smith; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and special cousin, Marshall Schnick. Proceeding her in death were her parents, Audrey and Clarence; her two husbands, Frank and Floyd; her son Jeff Weaver; nephew Richard Dugan; brother-in-laws, Randy Rosenbaum and Dick Dugan and two grandchildren, Dustin Fardulis and Sammy Marshall Jr.
Sandra was a graduate of Elston high school in 1960, where she was a member of the red derby cheer squad and was a hall monitor. Sandra was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran church in Michigan city, Indiana. Her first job after graduating high school was at Television Associates. She frequently talked about working for the great Captain Eddie, who was a famous inventor of his time. Sandra also worked at Strudel House pastries as a clerk and at Al’s West deli department, both in La Porte, for many years. She enjoyed flower gardening, tending to her roses and bleeding hearts. Sandra also enjoyed feeding and watching Hummingbirds birds and going fishing. She was an excellent cook and was well known for her Holiday burgundy meatballs.
Arrangements are entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN, where the family will receive friends Wednesday, July 17 from 5 to 7 PM and Thursday, July 18 from 10 to 11 AM followed by the funeral service at 11, with Pastor Albertin and Pastor Solum, officiating. Interment will follow at Patton cemetery, La Porte, Indiana.
