Sandra Chance

Miss Sandra M. Chance, 47, of Westville, Indiana, died Friday March 6, 2009 at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Michigan City, IN. She was born February 25, 1962 in LaPorte, Indiana, the daughter of Earl Chance and Thelma Logman Chance, living in the Westville area, all of her life. Sandra worked as a medical transcriptionist for the Bone & Joint Institute in Michigan City, IN., she was a member of Westville United Methodist Church in Westville, IN. Sandra loved genealogy, she was very active with her family and her church family. Sandra loved to write poetry and read, she published a quarterly family newsletter. She is survived by her mother, Thelma Chance of Westville, IN, two brothers, Ron Linda Chance of LaPorte, IN, Steven Chance of La Mesa, CA. and one great-nephew, Matthew Chance. Sandra was preceded in death by her father, Earl Chance and several aunts and uncles. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Tuesday, March 10, 2009 from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., March 10, 2009 at 4:00 PM with Rev. Karen Altergott officiating. Burial of ashes will be held at a later date in the Pinhook Cemetery.
