Ruth Trevitt

Mrs. Ruth M. Trevitt, age 84, of La Porte, Ind., died 4:50 pm Friday, May 9, 2008, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. She was born May 8, 1924 in LaPorte, Ind. to the late Edward Callandar and the late Alice Prosser Callandar. She has lived in the LaPorte area most of her life. Mrs. Trevitt was employed by American Home Foods as a production line operator for 20 years and retired in 1988. She loved her family and loved spending time with her Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. On Sept. 12, 1943 in LaPorte, Ind. she married Everett Trevitt who preceded in death Dec. 30, 2000. She is survived by her Two Daughters, Mrs. Carol McDaniels of Walkerton, Ind., Mrs. Sharon Chester Konopacki of La Porte, Ind.; One Son, Mr. Robert Trevitt of La Porte, Ind.; Four grandchildren; Five great-grandchildren; Two great-great grandchildren; Three Sisters, Mrs. Gloria Kreamer of La Porte, Ind., Mrs. Sandra Schultz of Knox, Ind., Mrs. Peggy Rodgers of Galien, Mich., and One Brother, Mr. Bill Callandar of New Troy, Mich. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband; Four Brothers, Jack Callandar, Chuck Callandar, Richard Callandar and David Callandar Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 13, 2008 and from 9:00 AM Wednesday until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 14, 2008, Rev. Dan McDonald officiating. Interment will be at Patton Cemetery in La Porte, Ind.
