Ruth Moyar

Mrs. Ruth M. Moyar , 62, of Westville, Indiana, died Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. She was born September 15, 1949 in LaPorte, Indiana, the daughter of Wilbur Copper and Betty J. (Euler) Copper. Ruth was a member of Lighthouse Village Church of God in New Buffalo, MI. She loved animals. Ruth loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. On October 11, 1986, in Michigan City, IN, she married Victor E. Moyar who survives. She is also survived by her two daughters - Alice Smithman of Chesterton, IN, Laura (Mike) Boller of Michigan City, IN; seven grandchildren, Brenda, Anna, Cassie, Andy, Mitchell, Nathaniel and Lydia, and one great-grandchild - Liam; one brother - Wilbur Copper of La Porte, IN. and several nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, one son, J.R. Shepard, two sisters, Hazel Huber, Violet Beason, and one brother, Al Copper. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Friday, November 4, 2011 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Saturday, November 5, 2011 from 10:00 am, until time of services. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 11:00 am with Rev. Anthony Fields officiating. Interment will follow at the Kingsbury Cemetery, Kingsbury, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Michiana Humane Society 722 Ind. 212 Michigan City, IN 46360.
