Ruth Kimball

Mrs. Ruth M. Stephens Kimball, age 83, of La Porte, Ind., died Friday, December 21, 2007, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. She was born August 27, 1924, in LaPorte Co., Clinton Twp., IN, to the late Justis Stephens and the late Marie Berttin Stephens. Also preceded in death is her Husband, Mr. Wilmer C. Kimball, a brother, Mr. George Stephens, and a sister Katherine Stephens. Mrs. Kimball has lived all of her life in the LaPorte area. On October 20, 1946 in Wanatah, IN, she was married to Wilmer C. Kimball, who preceded in 1989. Mrs. Kimball was employed by American Rubber Products as an Machine Trimmer, for 25 1/2 years. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. She was also a member of Disabled American Veteran, Carmel League, Volunteer for American Cancer Society, Volunteer for Bethany Lutheran Church. Loved life, gardening, enjoyed doing crafts for cancer society. made school bags for Luther World Relief, liked to cook, bake, can and freeze. She is also survived by her Two Sons, Mr. Ronald A. Kimball of New Buffalo, Mich, Mr. Randall L. Kimball of La Porte, Ind, Three Sisters, Mrs. Alice Muir of Greeley, Colo. Mrs. Flaude Meister of La Porte, Ind, Mrs. Charlotte Sly of Union Mills, Ind, One Brother, Mr. Charles Stephens of Vicksburg, Mich. and several Nieces and Nephews. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 26, 2007, and from 10:00 AM Thursday December 27, 2007 until time of service. Funeral service will be at Bethany Lutheran Church at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 27, 2007 , with Rev. Dennis Meyer officiating. Interment will be at Union Mills Cemetery in Union Mills, Ind.
