Mrs. Ruby Geneva Utterback Johnson, age 95, of La Porte, IN, died Tuesday, August 29, 2006, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, IN. She was born October 14, 1910, in Hutsonville, IL, to Pearl Utterback and Zella Broadstone Utterback., who has preceded. Also preceded, are five son's, Edward Johnson, Ray Dean Johnson, Roy Allen Johnson, Richard Johnson, Robert Johnson, two daughters, Frankie Clanton, Irene Johnson, three Brothers, and four sisters, her husband, George William Johnson Sr. Mrs. Johnson lived most of her life in the LaPorte area. On January 5, 1929 in LaPorte, Indiana, she was married to George William Johnson Sr. who has preceded January 31, 1973. Mrs. Johnson was employed by Community Hospital as a nursing aid, for seven years, retiring in 1973. She was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Surviving is her three Daughters, Patricia Jackson of Wisconsin, Arlene Staniszewski of Wisconsin, Donna Pierce of Oklahoma, Two Sons, Mr. Rodger Darlene Johnson of La Porte, IN, George W. Kathy Johnson, Jr. of La Porte, IN, Mrs. Johnson has Forty Seven grandchildren Seventy great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, August 31, 2006, at Haverstock Funeral Home. Also a visitation will be held from 9:00 AM, at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church Friday September 1, 2006 until time of service. Funeral service will be at Seventh-Day Adventist Church at 10:00 AM Friday, September 1, 2006 , with Rev. Wayne Morrison officiating. Interment will be at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, IN.
