Ruby L. Cooper May 1, 1929 - February 3, 2016 Ruby L. Cooper age 86, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Paul W. Cooper; children, Paul (Carolyn) Cooper, Roger (Cathy) Cooper, Randy (Merry) Cooper, Penny (Dennis) Downey and Peggy (Sid) Franklin; grandchildren; Timothy (Cathy) Lindewald, Cim Paddock, Kevin (Angie) Cooper, Annie (Casey) Gasway, Abigail (Matthew) Jessie, Joseph (Christine) Cooper, Dallis Downey, Sarah Senne, Matthew (Jennifer) Senne, Joshua Senne, Elizabeth (Terry) Shockley and Kimberley (Joshua) Harwell; 26 great grandchildren; 17 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Rosemary Cole, Robert Frankinburger, George (Linda) Frankinburger and Ronald (Mary) Frankinburger; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Edith and George Frankinburger and her father, Harold Adams; brothers, Donald Adams, Eugene Adams and Norman Adams and grandchildren, Risa Lindewald and Tom Lindewald. Ruby was a 1947 graduate of LaPorte High School and married Paul Cooper, the love of her life on June 21, 1947 in LaPorte, IN. She retired from the LaPorte Community School System as an aide for the special education students. Ruby was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church teaching Sunday school for over 25 years. She and Paul enjoyed traveling all over the country. Ruby was quite the craftswoman, helping Paul build the five ranch homes where they raised their children over the years. Ruby was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many and will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Haverstock Funeral Home 602 Maple Avenue LaPorte, IN with Pastor Curtis Southwood officiating. Interment to follow at Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, IN.
