Roy Meadway Sr.

Mr. Roy Meadway, Sr., age 68, of La Porte, IN, died Saturday, December 24, 2005, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, IN. He was born February 23, 1937 in Barrow-n-Furness, England, to William Meadway and Beatrice Wells Meadway, who has preceded. Also preceded in death is his wife, Mrs. Patricia Clifton Meadway, a grandson, Brian Buchanan, Jr. Mr Meadway has lived in the LaPorte area for 45 years, coming from Lancaster, England. On June 29, 1957 in Walkerton, Indiana, he was married to Patricia Clifton, who preceded in death May 31, 2001. Mr. Meadway was employed by Conrail Rail Road as a supervisor, and was a member of Salvation Army Church. He was also a Veteran of the English Rupublican Army of England, and he loved hunting and fishing with his grandchildren. Surviving are Three Daughters, Mrs. Tammy Chris Pezzuto of Knox, IN, Mrs. Talisa Michael Adams of LaPorte, IN, Tina Meadway Adams of LaPorte, IN, Two Sons, Mr. John Shea Meadway of Kingsford Heights, IN, Mr. Roy Nancy Meadway, Jr. of Rolling Prairie, IN, Three Sisters, Miss Maureen Meadway of La Porte, IN, Mrs. Joan Smith of North Judson, IN, Mrs. Doreen Graves of Momence, IL, One Brother, Mr. Bernard Meadway of Hamlet, IN, Nine grandchildren, Two great-grandchildren Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 28, 2005. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 28, 2005 , with Rev. David Adams Sr. officiating. Interment will be at Patton Cemetery in La Porte, IN.
