Roscoe Turner

Mr. Roscoe Turner, Jr., 42, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away, Sunday August 8, 2010 at La Porte Hospital. He was born October 6, 1967 in LaPorte, Indiana, the son of Roscoe Turner, Sr. and Mima Stamper Turner. Roscoe attended the South Center United Baptist Church of Hamlet, IN and Eagles Nest #2439. He was a veteran of the US Navy during Peacetime. Roscoe enjoyed fishing, and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed visiting and being with his friends and family. On November 21, 1992, in Hamlet, Indiana, he married Talina Lane Turner who survives. He is also survived by his two daughters - Chealzii Turner of La Porte, IN, Kaitlynde Turner of La Porte, IN; five brothers - Paul Turner of Fish Lake, IN, Darial Turner of La Porte, IN, Carl Turner of La Porte, IN, Dale Turner of La Porte, IN, Clay Turner of Rolling Prairie, IN; four sisters - Victoria Lemley of Hudson Lake, IN, Mima Jean Eddy of Kingsford Heights, IN, Mary Hutchinson of La Porte, IN, Calla Arnholz of Union Mills, IN; nineteen nieces and nephews and thirteen great nieces and great nephews. Roscoe was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Tuesday, August 17, 2010 from 9:00 am - 11:00 am. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Rev.Ward Allen officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
