Mr. Ronald R. Sult, age 84, of La Porte, Ind., died 6:25 PM Wednesday, February 13, 2008, at Brentwood Assisted Living in La Porte, Ind. He was born March 16, 1923 in Walkerton, Ind. to the late Q.D. Sult and the late Mary Hartung Sult. He has lived most of his life in the LaPorte area. Mr. Sult retired in 1984 from NIPSCO where he worked for 25 years. He was a Veteran of the US Army, during WW II. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. He helped everyone in the community; he was a very social person. He loved snow-mobiling and his friends. On November 25, 1967 in Knox, Ind. to Esther Estok who preceded in death on July 26, 2005. He is survived by his Step-daughter, Mrs. Paulette Jim Ganchow of Michigan City, Ind.; Step-son, Mr. David Cindy VanAsdall of La Porte, Ind.; Six grandchildren, Angela Bielawski of Wilmette, Ill., Julia Kossnar of Metairie, LA, Vicky Wichlas of LaPorte, Ind., Amy Kossnar of Brookline, MA, Chris Kossnar of Michigan City, Ind., Michael VanAsdall of LaPorte, Ind.; Four great-grandchildren; Sister, Mrs. Shirley Hammer of Granger, Ind. He is preceded in death by Wife, Parents; Two Daughters, Trudy Comer, Betty Sult; Son, Ronald Sult Jr.; and One Grandson Ryan VanAsdall Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, February 15, 2008 and from 9:00 AM Saturday until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 16, 2008 , Bro. Ransom Ebersole officiating. Interment will be at Salem Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind. A graveside Military Service will be conducted by the Honor Guard of the American Post #83 and V.F.W. Post #1130 of LaPorte, Ind. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children, 2211 N. Oak Park Ave., Chicago, IL. 60607. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Ronald R.
