Ronald Jared

Mr. Ronald E. Jared, 69, of La Porte, Indiana, died Friday March 6, 2009 at LaPorte Hospital, LaPorte, IN. He was born August 14, 1939 in Sullivan, Indiana, the son of Carl Jared and Thelma Thompson Jared, living in the LaPorte, IN. area, most of his life. Ronald was passionate about gardening, loved his dog Gidget, traveling and woodworking. He also loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. On December 24, 1959, in Sullivan, IN., he married Joyce Gosnell. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Jared of La Porte, IN, son, Kevin Joyce Jared of Virginia Beach, VA, four daughters, Tammy Kevin Bargholz of La Porte, IN, Kim Kevin Novak of LaPorte, IN, Crystal Kissling, Tracy Thomas Todd of OH, Sixteen Grandchildren, Three Great-grandchildren, two sisters, Alice Scott of IL, Nellie Spurgeon of FL, and one brother Dennis Jared of OH. Ronald was preceded in death by his mother, father, two brothers, Jim Jared and Joe Jared . Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Haverstock Funeral Home. Cremation will take place.
