Ronald Irwin

Mr. Ronald E. Irwin, 74 of 89 Warsaw Street LaPorte, Indiana died Thursday, January 13, 2005 at 8:48 AM at LaPorte Hospital. Mr. Irwin was born September 9, 1930 in Toledo, OH to Willard and Rozella Schafer Irwin who has proceeded. Also preceded are a son, Stephen Irwin, a brother, Ralph Irwin, and a sister, Janet Sterling. On October 3, 1953 in Angola, Indiana he married Reatha Poe, who survives. Mr. Irwin worked for Alpha Bakery as a supervisor for 19 years, retiring in 1995; also he worked in Bakeries in Ohio. Mr. Irwin was a member of the Grace Baptist Church, he taught Sunday school for 3 years; Elder at the church, and on the church Board for 4 years, he enjoyed sports on TV, he was a mall walker, he enjoyed bowling, he would visit the sick & shut-in from his church. Mr. Irwin belonged to the Baking Institute of Technology. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Diane Bob Pataluch of Las Vegas, NV, a daughter, Mrs. Shelley Kaufman Finance?-Bill Daniel of LaPorte, IN, a daughter, Mrs. Ronda Jack Haverstock of Rolling Prairie, IN, a daughter, Mrs. Lorrie Don Zellers of LaPorte, IN, brother, Russell Irwin of Canton, OH, a sister, Mrs. Betty Aldrich of Lima, OH. The Funeral will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor John M. Vincent officiating. Friends may call Monday, January 17, 2005 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Haverstock Funeral Home and from 9:00 AM Tuesday January 18, 2005 until time of service. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Mill Creek, IN. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society & the Grace Baptist Church.
