Ronald Avery

Mr. Ronald L. Avery, 66, of Eisenhower Drive in La Porte, Indiana, died Monday March 30, 2009. He passed away peacefully after a short struggle with cancer at LaPorte Hospital in LaPorte, IN. He was born September 14, 1942 in Michigan City, Indiana, the son of Gerald Avery and Mary Golabewski Avery, he had lived in the LaPorte, area most of his life. Ronald loved being with his grandkids and family, he enjoyed going fishing, and his pets. Ronald was a Veteran of the US Army during peacetime; he worked as a spray painter for Allis Chalmers and retired from Maple City Baffle. On January 25, 1975, in New Carlisle, IN. at Olive Chapel, New Carlisle, IN., he married Maurine Morrie. He is survived by his wife, Maurine Avery of La Porte, IN, son, Troy Paula Sigle of Brewerton, NY. two daughters, Kimberly Mike Umphrey of LaPorte, IN, and Debbie Avery,; three grandchildren, Avery Sigle, Daniel Sigle and Kristen Cole. Ronald was preceded in death by his mother and father. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home; 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Thursday, April 02, 2009 from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, following the visitation there will be a private family service with Rev.
