Robert Yoder

Mr. Robert L. Yoder, age 75, of 2400 Andrew Ave. Apt. 702, La Porte, Ind., died Friday, February 10, 2006, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. He was born September 23, 1930 in Amberg, Wisc. to the late William Yoder and the late Ida Holtz Yoder, and he has lived in the LaPorte area most of his life. Mr. Yoder was employed as a welder by the White Farm Equip. Co. He was a member of American Trotters Association, was a devoted NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching Ryan Neuman, a local driver in the NASCAR circuit. He Served in the Army during Korean War. On September 20, 1951 in Kalamazoo, Michigan he married Lauretta J. Slater who preceded in death July 30, 2000. He is survived by his Two Daughters, Mr. Penny Cygan of La Porte, Ind., Mrs. Jeannie Cantrell of La Porte, Ind.; Five grandchildren and Eleven great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. A graveside service will be at Patton Cemetery at 12:00 PM Tuesday, February 14, 2006.
